No sewing for days now because we've been away for the weekend to see long lost friends and we've spent two days preparing for the festival the children love the most... hallowe'en. Annis has been unbearably excited and she even carved her own pumpkin (the smaller one) the boys carved the bigger one together yesterday. Decorating for festivals always seems to bring everyone together.
we made pumpkin pie for the first time from a recipe from this book which was surprisingly nice, and we made biscuits for the trick or treaters. The burnt ones got smothered in snot icing mmmm yum!
as a grand finale we took all the kids for a walk through the graveyard which probably spooked us more than them!
